Meet Dr Mark Taylor
Dr Mark Taylor is a pioneer in Australian dentistry, among the first ten dentists to complete Griffith University’s prestigious Clinical Dental Implant Masters program. With over 25 years of experience in implant dentistry across the Gold Coast and London, he specialises in full-mouth restorations, All-on-4/6 implants, and advanced bone grafting techniques.
After graduating from the University of London in 1990 and earning the Vocational Training Award in 1991, Dr Taylor moved to the Gold Coast in 1997. He led a Southport dental practice for 17 years before founding Robina Quays Dental Care, where he delivers patient-focused care in a state-of-the-art, three-surgery facility.
Dedicated to innovation, Dr Taylor integrates cutting-edge technology, including a first-in-world Vatech X-ray machine, to enhance patient outcomes. A member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian Society of Implant Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists, he remains at the forefront of implant and restorative dentistry.
Beyond dentistry, he enjoys tennis, long walks on Gold Coast beaches, and traveling, with a keen interest in mindfulness and heartfulness.
Meet Dr William Evans
William was born in Vancouver Canada, and has lived on the Gold Coast since 2005. After completing 9 years of university study in Australia William has since been working locally on the Gold coast nurturing a loyal patient following.
Dr Evans prides himself on providing comprehensive treatment options to his patients and enjoys cosmetic, general and surgical dentistry. He continually refines his abilities and knowledge through professional development courses, with a key focus on Implants and Invisalign treatment. Dr Evans also offers veneers and comprehensive oral rehabilitation treatments.
In his spare time he enjoys relaxing with his wife Ellen and daughters Sophie and Lily and loves watching TV shows and movies.
Meet Dr Remon Mekaeil
With over 25 years of experience in general dentistry, Dr Remon Mekaeil is known for his compassionate approach and dedication to patient care. Since 2000, he has contributed significantly to both public and private health sectors, notably serving as Director of Oral Health on the Gold Coast, where he played a key role in promoting high oral health standards.
Dr Remon holds a Master’s degree from the University of Queensland (1996), specialising in Bruxism and Paediatric Dentistry, and an Honours degree in Dental Science from the University of Sydney (1999). In 2006, he transitioned to private practice, focusing on dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and children’s dental care.
Joining Robina Quays Dental Care was a natural fit, allowing him to continue providing top-quality, patient-focused treatment in a boutique practice environment.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys camping, fishing, and 4WD adventures with his family.
Our Hygienist
Meet Jillian Lai
Originally from Adelaide, South Australia where she began her dental assisting career Jillian Lai is a highly skilled and experienced dental hygienist. Jill graduated with an advanced diploma in oral health in 2013. Since then Jill has worked in general, holistic and periodontal specialist clinics in Adelaide, Melbourne and now the sunny Gold Coast.
Jill is known for her kind relaxing demeanour and especially for going that extra mile to put patients at ease. She strives to create a comfortable experience for each patient and patients find it really easy to connect with her given her naturally beautiful and caring personality.
Jill has a strong interest in periodontal disease and oral health promotion. She regularly attends national and international conferences and is an active member of the Dental Hygienist Association.
In her spare time whilst she is exploring exciting Queensland, Jill enjoys gardening, long walks on the beach, and fun coffee time with friends and family.
